Germán Sopeña
Germán Sopeña loved the mountains, trains, jazz and old cars. But also loved Patagonia Argentina, where he felt like home.
Journalist, with several academic degrees, said of himself: “Even if I am not safe from the journalist stereotype –to write about everything without knowing nothing- I wield in self-defence: it is about understanding how and why things happen, and to transmit them in the simplest possible way to others” He died at age 54.
The Egidio Feruglio Foundation decided to name Germán Sopeña for the Auditorium in tribute to a man who selflessly and with great passion, contributed to the dissemination of science in Patagonia.
